Rose Croix Regalia

The English Rose Croix degree, formally known as the 18th degree in the Ancient and Accepted Rite of Freemasonry, emphasises themes of spiritual enlightenment, moral virtues, and the triumph of light over darkness. With Christian overtones but open to men of all faiths, it uses rich symbolism such as the rose (purity and love), the cross (sacrifice and redemption), the pelican (self-sacrifice), and the eagle (strength and wisdom). Through a dramatic and allegorical ceremony, candidates experience a symbolic journey of death and rebirth, encouraging personal growth, moral reflection, and the transcendence of materialism in pursuit of higher truths. Its central motto, "Spes mea in Deo est" ("My hope is in God"), reflects the degree's focus on spiritual values and universal moral lessons.
